McGovern, who has spent two decades at JLR, was responsible for the design direction of iconic models such as the Range Rover, Defender, and Discovery.
He is notably remembered for spearheading Jaguar's electric rebrand, which included the reveal of the polarizing pink Type 00 concept in Miami in 2024. This rebrand faced criticism from figures like Donald Trump and Elon Musk, though McGovern defended the approach as fearless creativity.
