In a major development, IREN Limited, an AI cloud service provider, has announced a transformative partnership with Microsoft. As of November 3rd, 2025, IREN has signed a multi-year contract valued at approximately $9.7 billion over the next five years.
Under the agreement, IREN will provide Microsoft with access to its NVIDIA GB300 GPUs, which are crucial for powering AI training and inference workloads. To fulfill this contract, IREN has entered into a separate $5.8 billion deal with Dell Technologies to purchase the necessary GPUs and related equipment.
IREN plans to deploy these high-performance GPUs in phases throughout 2026 at its 750MW data center facility in Childress, Texas. The company will also develop new liquid-cooled data centers to support an additional 200MW of critical IT load across four phases.
"We're proud to announce this milestone partnership with Microsoft, highlighting the strength and scalability of our vertically integrated AI Cloud platform," said Daniel Roberts, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of IREN.
To fund these significant capital expenditures, IREN intends to leverage its existing cash reserves, customer prepayments, operating cash flows, and additional financing initiatives.
This transformative deal solidifies IREN's position as a leading provider of GPU-powered cloud services, catering to the growing demand for AI and high-performance computing from major technology giants like Microsoft.
