Motilal Oswal Group has made a substantial investment commitment of ₹1,500 crore in Inox Clean Energy, the renewable energy arm of the INOXGFL Group. The initial tranche of ₹1,000 crore has already been successfully disbursed, underscoring a strong financial backing for the company's ambitious growth agenda.
These funds, structured as compulsorily convertible debentures, are earmarked to accelerate Inox Clean's expansion, with a specific focus on strategic inorganic growth initiatives. This infusion of capital is critical as the company continues to build its renewable energy portfolio and enhance its market position.
Inox Clean's renewable independent power producer (IPP) portfolio stood at 3 GW as of June 2026, with projections indicating an increase to over 6 GW of operational capacity by the end of FY27. The company also operates a 3 GW solar module facility in Gujarat, with another 5 GW facility under development, alongside US-based manufacturing operations.
This significant investment follows previous financial support from the Adar Poonawalla Family Office and a diverse group of other investors, including CalPERS and RJ Corp, highlighting broad confidence in Inox Clean's strategy and market potential.
