The third Inland Waterways Development Council (IWDC) meeting is scheduled for January 23 in Kochi. The IWDC 3.0 agenda encompasses building resilient urban water transport, improving cargo efficiency, and promoting green passenger vessels.
Discussions will also cover advancements in river cruise tourism, the adoption of digital and sustainable practices, and a review of the regulatory framework for inland waterways. Concerns raised by states regarding ongoing and proposed projects will be addressed, ensuring a comprehensive approach to sector growth.
