Infosys reported a significant increase in its workforce, adding 5,043 employees in the third quarter of fiscal year 2026. This marks the highest net headcount addition in 11 quarters, bringing the total employee strength to 337,034. The company's management indicated that this expansion underscores a strong belief in current market demand conditions and enhanced visibility for future business.
The hiring trend is further supported by Infosys's decision to raise its constant-currency revenue growth guidance for FY26 to 3-3.5%, up from the previously projected 2-3%. This upward revision, alongside stable EBIT margin guidance of 20-22%, highlights the company's optimistic outlook. Deal wins of $4.8 billion in the quarter, with a significant 57% from net new deals, reinforce this positive sentiment.
Furthermore, the IT services giant observed a decline in employee attrition to 12.3%, down from 14.3% in the previous quarter. The proportion of women in its workforce remained steady at 39.5%. Detailed hiring plans for the upcoming fiscal year are expected to be shared at the commencement of FY27, following this period of substantial workforce growth.
