Mochatrade, a new trading platform designed for the Indian market, has successfully raised $5.56 million in total funding. The platform specializes in offering perpetual futures linked to U.S. stock prices, allowing users to trade from India.
Users can fund their accounts via India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and trade contracts based on companies like Nvidia, Tesla, and Apple. Mochatrade enables leveraged long or short positions on these U.S. stock prices, all conducted in rupees. This bypasses the need for a U.S. brokerage account or direct share ownership, differentiating it from existing applications.
The company operates in India under ALSD Technologies Private Limited, holding the necessary FIU-IND registration. With over 20,000 individuals on its waitlist, Mochatrade is currently in beta and anticipates a public launch in the coming weeks. Funding will be allocated to enhancing trading technology and expanding its customer base.
Future plans include introducing U.S. stock options and social trading features, pending regulatory approvals. The founding team, who met at IIT and joined Y Combinator's Spring 2026 batch, comprises CEO Utkarsh Sinha, CTO Parth Maheshwari, and CPO Chetan Manda. The startup currently has 11 employees, with its core team divided between New York and Bangalore.
