India's Solar Powerhouse: Nagpur Facility Breaks Ground

Waaree Energies has commenced construction of what it claims is India's largest integrated solar ingot and wafer manufacturing facility. Located in Butibori, Nagpur, the plant will feature a 10 GW capacity for both solar ingots and wafers.
This significant development, backed by an investment of approximately ₹6,200 crore on 300 acres, is designed to strengthen India's solar photovoltaic value chain. The facility's primary goal is to enhance domestic production of critical upstream solar components.
