India's Labor Reforms: Small Towns Win Big in Jobs

Overall, the total number of job postings nationwide increased by 8.4% after the codes took effect. This reform is accelerating formal hiring in emerging and semi-urban regions, which are collectively growing at 12-15%.
Major employment hubs also saw growth, with tier I markets experiencing a 6.6% increase. Notably, there has been a shift from remote work to on-site employment, with work-from-office roles rising by 8.7% and work-from-home roles declining by 10.4%.
