A new governing council has been appointed for the Game Developers Association of India (GDAI), bringing together prominent figures from the gaming industry. Members include representatives from Supergaming, Hitwicket, Electronic Arts (EA), Nazara Technologies, Nodwin Gaming, and Bitkraft Ventures, among others.
Sridhar Muppidi, appointed as the chairperson, stated that the council provides a strong leadership and execution framework. The GDAI's mission is to translate industry priorities into concrete actions across policy engagement, talent development, and ecosystem funding.
The clear focus is on empowering Indian game development studios. The goal is to enable these studios to create and own original intellectual property, achieve global scale, and establish India as a leading hub for game development.
