The inaugural special service operates on two routes: train number 02076 from Kamakhya to Howrah and train number 02075 from Malda Town to Kamakhya. Both services departed on January 17, 2026, marking the commencement of this new era in railway travel.
With a 16-car composition, the Vande Bharat Sleeper train features an distinctive orange and grey color scheme. Its introduction is set to transform long-distance overnight journeys, offering passengers a more efficient and comfortable travel option.
