Samarthak is primarily engineered for maritime surveillance and patrol duties. Its versatile design allows it to engage in Low Intensity Maritime Operations (LIMO) and serve as a crucial platform for target deployment and trials.
Further enhancing its utility, the vessel is equipped for Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) missions. It can be adapted into a limited hospital ship and is capable of undertaking salvage operations.
The ship features an integrated combat suite boasting indigenous sensors and weapons. This advanced system is optimized for effective operations in challenging maritime conditions, symbolizing India's growing self-reliance in defense.
