India's cinema advertising landscape is undergoing a significant transformation with the introduction of a novel holographic engagement platform by PVR INOX in collaboration with Ikonz Studios. This pioneering initiative aims to elevate cinema advertising beyond conventional posters and on-screen commercials. It introduces life-like, three-dimensional holograms within cinema foyers and common areas, enabling audiences to interact directly with brands.
The platform is powered by Ikonz Studios' proprietary HXR technology, enhanced with artificial intelligence, to create deeply engaging brand experiences that foster stronger recall among moviegoers. Early campaigns have successfully integrated celebrity holograms, such as Amitabh Bachchan for IDFC Bank, demonstrably improving trust and brand recognition. Gautam Dutta, CEO of Revenue and Operations at PVR INOX, highlighted that this innovation escalates cinema advertising by transforming brand communication into memorable, interactive experiences.
