India's CNC Market Surges: A $3.5 Billion Boom

India's machine tool market is set for substantial expansion, with current data from IMTEX 2025 indicating it's projected to grow from US$1.8 billion to US$3.5 billion by 2034. The nation already holds the 7th position globally in machine tool consumption and 9th in production.

CNC machines, vital for precision manufacturing, are seeing increased demand, particularly from the aerospace and defence industries. These sectors require intricate components for aircraft and defense platforms, driving the need for advanced machining capabilities.

Jyoti CNC Automation, a significant manufacturer, boasts over 140,000 installations worldwide and serves diverse sectors, with aerospace and defense accounting for 37% of its Q1FY27 revenue. The company is expanding its annual capacity to 16,000 machines to meet a ₹4,848 crore order book.

Macpower CNC Machines is also strengthening its foothold, supplying over 200 machines to defense factories and key aerospace organizations like HAL and ISRO. With a current capacity of 2,500 machines annually, it aims to increase the contribution of high-end NEXA machines to 35% of its revenue, backed by a ₹456 crore order book.
