Two Indian LPG carriers, Jag Vasant and Pine Gas, have successfully completed their transit through the critical Strait of Hormuz. These vessels carry substantial LPG cargo and are expected to arrive at Indian ports between March 26th and 28th. This safe passage is vital for securing domestic energy supplies during a period of heightened regional tensions.
The Jag Vasant, carrying 47,600 metric tonnes of LPG, is slated to dock at Kandla Port on March 26th. The Pine Gas vessel, with 45,000 metric tonnes of LPG, is scheduled to reach New Mangalore Port on March 27th. These ships represent continued efforts to maintain energy flow despite potential disruptions in the Persian Gulf.
These tankers were among 22 Indian-flagged vessels previously stranded in the Persian Gulf due to escalating West Asia conflict. Their safe transit underscores India's commitment to ensuring energy security. Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured the nation that India possesses sufficient crude oil reserves and robust supply arrangements.
