Bajaj Auto's exports experienced a remarkable 52% year-on-year surge, reaching 6,36,005 units in the June 2026 quarter, significantly outpacing its domestic sales growth. Demand in Nigeria, in particular, nearly tripled, while Latin American markets also showed robust sales for models like Pulsar and Boxer.
Similarly, TVS Motor Company reported a 34% year-on-year increase in overseas sales, totaling 0.47 million units in the first quarter of fiscal year 2027. Strong demand for its HLX, Apache, and Raider models was noted across Latin America, Africa, and Asia. TVS Motor also achieved its highest-ever quarterly sales, exceeding Bajaj Auto's total vehicle sales for the first time.
The automotive sector's strong export performance is further supported by a nearly 7% year-on-year depreciation of the Indian Rupee against the US Dollar, reaching approximately Rs 95. This currency movement enhances the attractiveness of Indian auto stocks for investors.
Bajaj Auto reported an all-time high revenue of Rs 17,243 crore, a 37% year-on-year increase, with net profit jumping 42.3% to Rs 2,982.8 crore. TVS Motor's revenue grew 37.8% to Rs 13,896 crore, and its net profit rose 51.5% to Rs 1,174 crore, with electric vehicle sales up 86%.
Looking ahead, TVS Motor plans to launch updated Apache models and the Jupiter Electric, while Bajaj Auto will introduce new Pulsar and Chetak electric variants. Despite Bajaj Auto trading at a 37% valuation discount to TVS Motor Company, both are poised for continued growth.
