This expansion surpasses the 9 million square feet recorded in the same period last year. The southern region, encompassing Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad, was a key driver of this growth, with leasing activities rising by 58% to 4.9 million square feet.
Bengaluru's industrial and warehousing space leasing more than doubled, reaching 1.7 million square feet. Chennai experienced a 15% growth to 2.3 million square feet, while Hyderabad saw a threefold jump to 0.9 million square feet. Demand is predominantly from third-party logistics providers, e-commerce companies, and light manufacturing businesses.
