- Travel disruptions affect key routes across India through June.

India is experiencing widespread travel disruptions in June due to extensive railway maintenance blocks and significant international flight reductions by Air India.
The South East Central Railway zone's fourth-line development at Bilaspur station has resulted in the cancellation of 65 express and 12 passenger trains. Several premium and long-distance services, including the Howrah-Pune Duronto Express, are being diverted or rescheduled through June 30.
Maintenance work in North India between Narkatiaganj and Gorakhpur Cantt has also led to the cancellation of multiple passenger and summer special trains through June 9. South India is also affected, with the Tirupati-Chennai Sapthagiri Express fully cancelled on select dates and other services like the Nagercoil-Mumbai CSMT Bi-Weekly Express being diverted.
Air India has announced major international flight reductions and suspensions from June to August 2026, citing high jet fuel prices and airspace restrictions. Delhi-Chicago services are canceled through October 2026, while flights to New York JFK, Newark, Vancouver, and Toronto are reduced or suspended. Several Asian routes, including to Singapore, Shanghai, and Bangkok, also face frequency cuts.
