External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar emphasized that these outcomes lay the foundation for a stronger partnership, helping to "derisk the global order." The summit saw participation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, European Council President Antonio Costa, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
Cooperation on human-centric artificial intelligence and innovation was a key focus. Europe announced funding for a public research program, aiming to advance partnerships on AI and frontier technologies through initiatives like India's association with Horizon Europe and the establishment of EU-India Innovation Hubs.
