Summary

- Policy offers personal injury benefit up to ₹3 lakh and medical cover.
- Annual costs begin at approximately ₹1,500 per individual.

A new annual travel insurance policy has been introduced for domestic travel within India. This innovative yearly plan offers continuous protection for frequent travelers, encompassing flights, trains, coaches, and highway journeys, thus eliminating the need for individual policies per trip. The coverage includes a personal injury benefit of up to ₹3 lakh and medical facility support of ₹1 lakh during transit.
This comprehensive package provides defense against various travel-related hazards, such as accidental death up to ₹3 lakh and inpatient care limits of ₹1 lakh. It also covers reimbursement for lost luggage and assistance for journey terminations due to unforeseen itinerary changes. The annual policy is available for approximately ₹1,500 per individual and is designed for frequent domestic travelers, corporate clients, families, and individuals undertaking multiple trips each year.
Beyond typical travel disruptions like delays and cancellations, the plan extends to medical emergencies. It also includes protection for select home-related risks, such as burglary while the policyholder is away. However, claims related to combat, armed conflict, or intoxication are generally excluded, as are high-risk athletic pursuits unless a supplementary rider is purchased. Aesthetic medical procedures and any care received outside India are also not covered.
