India Cements Ltd (ICL) has announced a substantial increase in its consolidated net profit, reporting ₹59.5 crore for the March quarter of FY26. This represents a more than fourfold jump compared to the ₹14.67 crore logged in the same period of FY25, a period that benefited from asset sales. The company's revenue from operations saw a modest rise of 2.6 per cent to ₹1,228.65 crore.
Driving this profit surge was an 18 per cent year-over-year growth in domestic sales volume, which reached 3.12 million tonnes during the March quarter. Furthermore, net realization experienced a 3.5 per cent increase quarter-on-quarter and a 6.2 per cent rise year-on-year. For the full fiscal year FY26, ICL managed to narrow its net loss to ₹67.25 crore from ₹143.69 crore in the prior year.
In its outlook, India Cements detailed a significant capital expenditure plan amounting to ₹2,000 crore, to be invested over the coming two years. These funds will be directed towards enhancing growth opportunities and improving operational efficiencies. It is important to note that ICL is a subsidiary of UltraTech Cement, a firm under the Aditya Birla group, following UltraTech's acquisition of the promoter's stake.
