Global technology giants, including Samsung Electronics, Tata Electronics, and Foxconn, are among the leading companies that have had their manufacturing projects greenlit for government subsidies. This move is part of India's broader strategy to enhance its electronics manufacturing capabilities, attract foreign and domestic investment, and reduce dependence on imports while strengthening supply chains across various sectors.
The approved projects are distributed across eight states, with an anticipated output of parts worth 2.58 trillion rupees ($28.62 billion). This nationwide push is expected to generate significant economic activity and create an estimated 34,000 employment opportunities, marking a pivotal step towards India's goal of becoming a global electronics manufacturing hub.
