Since its inception in 2017, the air corridor has been instrumental in maintaining commercial ties. It enables Afghan exporters to ship valuable products like fruits, nuts, and saffron directly to India, reducing dependence on overland routes. India continues to support alternative trade channels to preserve its economic relationship with Afghanistan.
