The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta announced the completion of its final placements for the 61st MBA batch, reporting a 100% placement rate despite evolving market conditions. The process saw 458 students secure 542 offers from 202 recruiters, with a 3% increase in recruiter participation compared to the previous year.
The highest domestic salary offer for the batch of 2026 was Rs 145 LPA, while the top international offer stood at Rs 110.16 LPA. The average compensation saw a year-on-year increase of 5.05%, reaching Rs 36 LPA, with a median salary of Rs 35 LPA.
Consulting was the dominant sector, attracting 206 offers. Finance also remained a strong area, securing over 100 offers. Marketing and General Management roles accounted for 161 offers, and the Technology sector received 72 offers. An increase in Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) was also noted.
