- The partnership strengthens IHG's presence in India's growing hospitality sector.

IHG Hotels & Resorts and Adani Airport Holdings have announced a major deal to develop around 1,500 hotel rooms across five properties in India. This significant expansion will introduce IHG's premium lifestyle brand, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, to the Indian market for the first time with a hotel in Jaipur.
The partnership also encompasses the development of Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express hotels in Navi Mumbai, Mangaluru, and Thiruvananthapuram. This strategic alliance aims to capitalize on the growing demand in India's hospitality sector, particularly in gateway cities and airport-led developments, catering to business, leisure, and transit travelers.
This collaboration aligns with a broader trend in India's hospitality market, where expansion is increasingly tied to large infrastructure projects like airports. With rising passenger traffic and commercial activity around aviation hubs, airport corridors are becoming prime locations for hotel development. IHG currently operates 52 hotels in India and plans to open 98 more within the next three to five years.
