HUL's Q1 Profit Dips, Revenue Climbs 10%

Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) reported a 4% decline in its standalone net profit for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026, with net profit standing at Rs 2,631 crore. This compares to Rs 2,732 crore in the same period last year.
However, the FMCG giant's revenue from operations saw a significant 10% increase, rising to Rs 16,657 crore in the April-June 2026 quarter, up from Rs 15,174 crore in the prior year's corresponding period.
Priya Nair, CEO and managing director of HUL, commented on the performance, stating that the Indian economy showed resilience despite global volatility. She highlighted that the underlying demand environment remained stable during the quarter.
Nair added that HUL achieved a turnover of Rs 17,184 crore with a 10% increase in revenue per unit (USG), driven equally by volume and price increases. She described this as the company's highest growth in thirteen quarters.
She further elaborated that the company's performance reflects the strength of its brands, enhanced portfolio competitiveness, and disciplined execution of strategic priorities. HUL continues to invest in market development and channel expansion, aiming to build a future-fit business focused on volume-led revenue growth.
