Summary
- Honasa Consumer aims to diversify beyond Mamaearth, its flagship brand.
- The company is rebuilding its offline distribution network for wider reach.
- Younger brands like The Derma Co. show significant growth potential.

Honasa Consumer, the parent of beauty brand Mamaearth, is undergoing a significant transformation to become a diversified consumer goods company. This shift aims to move beyond its initial D2C success with Mamaearth and build a portfolio of strong brands.
In fiscal year 2025 (FY25), the company initiated a substantial overhaul of its offline distribution network, moving from super stockists to direct distributors. This project, aimed at increasing control and visibility, caused a temporary dip in revenue and profitability in the September quarter of FY25.
As of July 6, 2026, Honasa's distribution reset appears to be yielding results, with consecutive quarters of over 20% revenue growth reported by the March quarter of FY26. The company is expanding its focus to include brands like The Derma Co., Aqualogica, and Dr. Sheth's, alongside acquisitions in men's grooming and oral care.
The company has outlined ambitious targets, aiming to more than double revenue by FY31. This includes growing Mamaearth to a ₹2,000-crore brand and The Derma Co. to over ₹1,500 crore, while also developing at least two additional brands exceeding ₹500 crore in annual revenue.
Honasa is also investing in innovation, with 80% of its investment directed towards core categories. The company's Ebitda margin is targeted to improve to 15% within five years from approximately 10% in FY26. Despite a stock price recovery since 2024, it has not yet reached its all-time high, indicating that the market awaits the success of its diversification strategy.
