Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. saw its revenue climb 21.6% in the first two months of 2026, reaching a record NT$1.33 trillion. This growth underscores strong demand for Nvidia Corp. servers essential for artificial intelligence development. Analysts anticipate a 28% revenue rise in the first quarter of 2026.
The company, also known as Foxconn, is a key player in AI hardware, assembling servers that house Nvidia accelerators. This surge in demand is linked to significant investments from tech giants like Alphabet, Amazon, Meta, and Microsoft.
Separately, Anthropic PBC's CEO, Dario Amodei, has resumed negotiations with the Pentagon regarding the military's use of its AI models. Talks had stalled over concerns about autonomous weapons and mass surveillance, leading to Anthropic being labeled a supply-chain risk. The resumption of discussions offers a chance to resolve the feud and prevent the company from being officially blacklisted, potentially impacting rivals like OpenAI.
Despite the Pentagon dispute, Anthropic's valuation has soared to $380 billion, with projections of nearly $20 billion in annual revenue. Its main app has also topped download charts, indicating strong public adoption. Major tech firms have urged President Trump to reconsider the national security risk designation to avoid negative industry-wide effects.
