- Funds will accelerate AI infrastructure and GPU cloud growth.
- Boden, Sweden facility upgrade to Tier III HPC data center progresses.

HIVE Digital Technologies Ltd has successfully closed an upsized US$115 million zero-coupon exchangeable note offering, originally launched at US$100 million. CEO Aydin Kilic confirmed the financing provides a low-cost capital source to support HIVE's aggressive scaling strategy for its AI infrastructure and GPU cloud services.
The proceeds are primarily intended to finance future GPU acquisitions. This includes supporting a significant agreement with Cohere, which involves approximately 2,300 NVIDIA GPUs, and other upcoming opportunities in the rapidly growing AI compute market.
Progress is also being made on HIVE's Boden, Sweden facility. Municipal approval to purchase the land is a major step towards converting the site into a Tier III High-Performance Computing (HPC) data centre. The financing will aid in procuring the long-lead equipment necessary for this substantial upgrade.
Kilic highlighted the intense demand for AI compute, noting that "Everybody wants compute now." He also emphasized the strategic shift towards long-term HPC contracts, which offer more stable cash flows compared to the cyclical nature of crypto mining, promising sustained value creation.
