Hindustan Zinc Ltd. has announced its most successful financial quarter to date. For the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2026, the company's net profit surged by 68% compared to the previous year, reaching ₹5,033 crore.
This impressive performance contributed to an all-time high annual revenue of ₹40,844 crore for the full fiscal year 2026, marking a 20% increase. Net profit for the year also saw a significant rise of 34%, totaling ₹13,832 crore.
Operationally, the company achieved record levels in production during the fourth quarter, with mined metal output at 315 kilotonnes and refined metal at 282 kilotonnes. The cost of production for zinc also fell to its lowest point since the company's underground transition.
Looking ahead to FY27, Hindustan Zinc has guided for mined metal production between 1,150 (±10) kilotonnes and refined metal at 1,100 (±10) kilotonnes, with zinc production costs projected between $975-$1,000 per tonne.
