Hedon Secures Cash Hub as Bank Closes Next Month

Hedon is set to gain a new cash hub, providing essential financial services following the impending closure of its final bank branch next month. This vital community resource will be managed by Cash Access UK, a not-for-profit entity backed by major high street banks. The introduction of the cash hub ensures that residents and businesses will maintain convenient access to cash for both deposits and withdrawals.

The establishment of this cash facility is the result of collaborative efforts, with local MP Graham Stuart spearheading the campaign. Despite an initial proposal for a full banking hub being denied, the community's persistence has secured this alternative. Stuart emphasized the importance of cash for local commerce, noting the consistent use of ATMs and the needs expressed by businesses.

Cash Access UK is actively seeking a suitable location within Hedon's town center to establish the hub, aiming for accessibility and convenience. The goal is to ensure there is no interruption in cash services for Hedon residents and businesses between the closure of the existing bank and the opening of the new hub, reinforcing the town's financial infrastructure.
