British hedge fund manager Chris Rokos achieved a remarkable payday last year, earning close to half a billion pounds. His business, Rokos Capital Management, reported profits that nearly tripled, reaching £940 million. This substantial financial success allowed Rokos to take home £477 million, a significant leap from the £110 million he received the previous year.
The firm's impressive performance was driven by its ability to capitalize on a period of considerable volatility across equity, bond, and commodity markets. Rokos, an alumnus of Eton and Oxford, previously co-founded the successful hedge fund Brevan Howard before establishing his own firm.
Prior to this latest payout, Rokos was already a billionaire, with an estimated net worth of £2.6 billion. He has also been a donor to the Conservative Party and recently listed his Florida mansion for sale, having acquired it for a record £30 million in 2017.
