HDFC Bank Profit Soars 11.46% in Q3 FY26

HDFC Bank reported a robust financial performance for the third quarter of fiscal year 2026, with its standalone net profit climbing 11.46% to ₹18,563.75 crore compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year. The bank's total income rose by 2.91% to ₹90,005 crore, reflecting steady operational growth. Profit before tax also increased by 11.05% year-on-year.
The bank's net interest income grew by 6.4% to ₹32,620 crore for the quarter ending December 31, 2025. Deposits saw a healthy increase of 12.2% to ₹27,52,400 crore, while gross advances grew by 11.9% to ₹28,44,600 crore. Asset quality remained strong, with gross non-performing assets (GNNPA) stable at 1.24% and net non-performing assets (NNPA) at 0.42% as of December 31, 2025.
HDFC Bank maintained a strong capital position, with its total capital adequacy ratio (CAR) at 19.9% as of December 31, 2025, well above the regulatory requirement. The bank's extensive distribution network comprises 9,616 branches and 21,176 ATMs across 4,170 cities and towns as of the reporting date.
