HDFC Bank Fuels Social Impact Startups with ₹20 Cr Grant

HDFC Bank has announced plans to disburse ₹20 crore by March as part of its FY26 Parivartan Startup Grants programme. This initiative is dedicated to supporting innovations with a strong social impact.
The program will champion ten strategic projects across priority sectors. These include climate innovation, agriculture, sustainable livelihoods, manufacturing, MSME innovation, financial inclusion, and gender diversity. Emerging fields like AI and deep technology are also targeted.
This incubator-led model leverages partnerships for program design, startup selection, and mentorship. HDFC Bank Deputy Managing Director Kaizad Bharucha highlighted its role in addressing social and environmental challenges.
Since 2017, the Parivartan Startup Grants have supported around 500 startups, including 87 in FY25. Cumulatively, over ₹85 crore has been deployed, with nearly 40% of beneficiaries hailing from Tier II and Tier III cities.
