HBO Max Hikes Prices Again, Leaving Subscribers Frustrated

In a move that is sure to frustrate many of its subscribers, the streaming platform HBO Max has announced another price increase, effective as of October 21, 2025. The new pricing structure will see the cost of HBO Max plans rise, with the platform citing its "best-in-class programming" as the reason for the hike.
The price increase will impact both new and existing subscribers. For new subscriptions, the new prices are effective immediately. Existing monthly subscribers will be notified 30 days in advance of their plan renewing and will see the price increase starting from their next billing date on or after November 20, 2025. However, current yearly subscribers will not see an increase until their renewal and will also be notified 30 days in advance.
Despite the price hike, HBO Max continues to offer a robust lineup of critically acclaimed content, including hit series from HBO, Warner Bros. Pictures, DC Studios, and more. Subscribers can expect to find classic HBO originals like The Sopranos and Game of Thrones, as well as recent Emmy-winning shows like The White Lotus and Hacks, plus fan favorites like Friends and The Big Bang Theory.
