Indian Railways has introduced a weekly special train service connecting Hatia in Jharkhand with SMVT Bengaluru Junction in Karnataka. This new service, operating five trips in each direction, is designed to accommodate the heightened passenger traffic expected during the festive season.
Train number 08637 will depart from Hatia every Wednesday from October 14 to November 11, 2026, arriving in Bengaluru the following day. The return service, train number 08638, will leave Bengaluru every Friday from October 16 to November 13, 2026, reaching Hatia on Saturday.
This special train will make multiple stops at various stations en route, benefiting passengers boarding or alighting in towns and cities along the Hatia-Bengaluru corridor. The train is equipped with 22 LHB coaches, offering a mix of AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier, AC 3-tier Economy, Sleeper, and General Second Class accommodations, along with a luggage coach and generator van.
