Haryana Govt Expands Service Security Act to More Employees

The Haryana government has significantly expanded the reach of the Haryana Contractual Employees (Security of Service) Act, 2024. Four new categories of employees are now eligible to apply for service security benefits. This expansion aims to provide essential security to a broader range of contractual staff.
Eligible employees, including computer faculty and lab attendants in the school education department, contractual staff from the information technology and science department (excluding HARTRON), and those working with the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC), must register on the dedicated online portal. The deadline for this registration is July 31. These groups were not part of the initial registration phase.
Following the registration period, a comprehensive three-stage verification process will be initiated. Drawing and disbursing officers are tasked with verifying service records by August 7. Heads of departments must complete the final scrutiny and approval by August 15. Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi has emphasized strict adherence to these timelines to prevent procedural delays from impacting employee benefits.
