Haryana CM Pledges Urgent Action on Gurugram's Water Crisis

Saini emphasized that Gurugram is the fastest-growing city in the state and stressed that any negligence in providing basic amenities would not be tolerated.
The CM directed officials to submit a detailed report on Gurugram's current water supply, sewerage systems, and sewage treatment plants (STPs). He stated that ensuring high-quality basic services for every resident within a stipulated timeframe is the government's top priority.
During the meeting, Saini took strong action on several fronts. He ordered stringent measures against the illegal water tanker mafia operating in Gurugram, stating that those involved in the unlawful supply of water would not be spared. The CM also instructed the police commissioner to promptly address citizen complaints and ensure prompt action by local authorities.
Additionally, Saini directed that all builders in Gurugram must ensure residents receive the basic amenities specified in their agreements, such as water, electricity, sewerage, roads, and security. He warned that any builder failing to comply or acting contrary to the agreement would face strict consequences.
