- Project aims to improve well placement and reduce ownership costs.
- Production expected to begin in 2028 with a 220,000 bpd FPSO.

Halliburton will provide integrated drilling and completions services for the GranMorgu deepwater oil development, located approximately 150km offshore Suriname. This long-term contract involves implementing a digital execution model to connect planning, engineering, and operations.
The project, operated by TotalEnergies with partners APA and Staatsolie, covers Block 58, including the Sapakara and Krabdagu fields. Estimated recoverable reserves are around 760 million barrels.
Halliburton plans to utilize integrated digital workflows and remote operations for improved well placement and delivery assurance. This advanced approach is expected to maximize asset value and reduce ownership costs for TotalEnergies.
Production for the GranMorgu development is anticipated to start in 2028, featuring a floating production, storage, and offloading unit with a capacity of 220,000 barrels per day. The development also includes investments in local capabilities, such as upgrading a liquid mud and cement facility with Surinamese suppliers.
In April 2026, Halliburton, Petronas, and Valaris entered into a collaboration to advance offshore asset development in the Guyana-Suriname Basin.
