- Revenue grew 14.4% year-on-year in Q1-FY27.

Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) has demonstrated a robust Q1-FY27 financial performance, marked by a significant 14.4% year-on-year revenue increase. This upturn was complemented by an improved EBITDA margin, which expanded by 107 basis points to reach 27.7% as of Q1-FY27, primarily due to lower operational expenses.
Looking ahead, HAL is poised for substantial growth, with an order pipeline valued at approximately ₹90,000 crore over the next two years. This includes orders for ALH helicopters, Su-30 upgrades, Dornier aircraft, and engine manufacturing programs. The company is also projecting an increase in LCA Mk1A production, targeting over 24 aircraft annually as GE engine supplies stabilize.
To fuel this expansion, HAL has committed to investing around ₹12,000 crore by 2030. These investments are earmarked for enhancing production capacity, developing aero-engine infrastructure, and advancing next-generation platforms, thereby supporting higher output rates and greater localization.
With strong order visibility, improving execution on the LCA program, and strategic capacity investments, HAL is well-positioned for sustained long-term growth. Key monitorables for the company include the ramp-up of execution and the reliability of foreign OEM supply chains.
