Gurgaon is poised for a significant infrastructure upgrade as the GMDA plans to revamp approximately 7.5 kilometers of service roads along three major routes. The project, with an estimated cost of Rs 20 crore, aims to restore connectivity and alleviate traffic congestion, with work expected to commence by March and conclude within six months.
The renovation will focus on service roads in sectors 51-57, 52-57, and 51-52, ensuring 'through-and-through' connectivity. This initiative includes road resurfacing, drainage system improvements to combat waterlogging, and repairs to footpaths for enhanced pedestrian safety. Green spaces will be adjusted to improve rainwater runoff, and fencing will be installed to protect landscaped areas.
Additionally, GMDA is preparing proposals to revamp another 10 kilometers of service roads along Ardee City-Sohna Road and between sectors 49-50 and 30-31. Residents have welcomed these developments, anticipating a reduction in traffic pressure and improved safety for both motorists and pedestrians.
