24 Aug
Summary
- Over 1300 show-cause notices and 662 restoration orders issued.
- South City and Sushant Lok lead in violations and notices.
- Crackdown targets unauthorized construction and commercial misuse.

The Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) has intensified its enforcement actions across several established residential colonies in Gurgaon. Prominent neighbourhoods such as Sushant Lok, South City, Ardee City, and Greenwood City are now facing a rigorous crackdown on unauthorized construction and land-use violations. As of August 2026, the DTCP has issued a significant number of notices, with over 1,319 show-cause notices and 662 restoration orders distributed to property owners.
South City has received the highest number of notices, totaling 538, with violations spanning both commercial and residential properties. Sushant Lok follows closely with 283 commercial and residential violation notices. The enforcement drive is targeting widespread issues including unauthorized construction, conversion of stilt parking, encroachment on setbacks, and the illegal operation of commercial activities within residential units.
Restoration orders require property owners to revert their premises to the originally sanctioned plans. DLF-3, Sushant Lok-I, and DLF-4 have recorded the highest numbers of these orders. This comprehensive city-wide enforcement phase signifies a shift towards a colony-wide approach, moving beyond individual complaints to address systemic violations that have altered the character of these established neighbourhoods.
