- The operation is scheduled to continue in phases through May and June.

Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) is commencing a significant anti-encroachment operation across 44 sectors in Gurgaon. The drive, set to begin on Monday and extend through May and June, targets the removal of all unauthorized structures impeding public infrastructure, such as roads and utility spaces. This action follows a recent demolition campaign by the department of town and country planning (DTCP).
The HSVP's focus is on clearing obstructions like kitchen gardens, extended ramps, kiosks, and pushcarts from public land. The authority has appealed to residents to voluntarily remove encroachments before the scheduled dates. A detailed schedule has been prepared, with different sectors targeted on specific days between late April and early May.
Enforcement teams, supported by engineering wings, horticulture staff, and local police, will conduct the drive. The move is deemed essential for ensuring pedestrian movement, emergency access, and road safety. HSVP has warned that no leniency will be shown once demolitions begin, advising residents to act promptly to avoid penalties and property damage.
