Greenland Energy has entered into a significant agreement with Halliburton. This collaboration will provide integrated consulting, logistics, and drilling services for the company's planned 2026 exploration program in East Greenland's Jameson Land Basin.
The Denver-based oil explorer, which completed its NASDAQ listing in March 2026, secured approximately $70 million in gross proceeds to fund these activities. Additional support comes from a five-year drilling contract with Stampede Drilling and arrangements with IPT Well Solutions.
Operations are slated to commence in October 2026 with the OPW-1 and OPW-6 exploration wells, aiming for depths of 3,500 meters. Success could grant Greenland Energy up to a 70% working interest in the extensive 2 million-acre Jameson Land Basin.
This basin is estimated to hold as much as 13.0 billion barrels of gross unrisked prospective oil resources, supported by prior industry investments exceeding $275 million. The company has obtained necessary approvals for heavy equipment mobilization and continues community engagement efforts in Ittoqqortoormiit.
