- Voi provides in-app training on traffic rules and safe riding practices.

Gloucestershire County Council has committed to continuing its e-scooter program by extending Voi Ltd's contract through July 2027. This decision opens the possibility of rolling out e-scooters to smaller towns within the county, moving beyond the current trial areas of Gloucester and Cheltenham. Council member Roger Whyborn highlighted e-scooters as a serious commuting tool with potential for wider adoption.
Voi provides in-app training to ensure riders understand traffic rules and safe parking. Despite some resident concerns regarding safety and rider awareness, Voi reported that 14.5% of the population in Gloucester and Cheltenham are active users. Monthly journeys on e-scooters in Gloucestershire reached 34,000 by March 2026, comparable to a major bus route.
