Gaya Station Faces 6-Week Rail Disruption

Operations at Gaya railway station's platforms 2 and 3 will be suspended for six weeks, from February 5 until March 21, to facilitate crucial development work. This extensive project, costing nearly Rs 300 crore, aims to upgrade the station to international safety and amenity standards. The suspension will lead to numerous train cancellations, diversions, and short-terminations.
The Patna-Gaya section will experience the most significant impact, with eight passenger trains now terminating at Chakand station, located 8 km north of Gaya. The Patna-Gaya passenger service will be suspended throughout this period. Additionally, trains like the Anand Vihar-Gaya Ekatmata and Lucknow-Gaya Ekatmata will terminate at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, while the Kamakhya Express will terminate at Manpur station.
