The initial public offering of Gaja Alternative Asset Management received bids for 2.16 crore shares against 2.53 crore shares on offer, achieving a subscription rate of 0.86 times as of Tuesday, August 18, 2026. The issue, which opened on August 19, 2026, and will close on August 21, 2026, has a price band of Rs 152 to Rs 160 per share.
Prior to the public offering, Gaja Alternative Asset Management successfully raised Rs 165 crore from anchor investors on August 18, 2026. The company plans to deploy Rs 372 crore from the net proceeds of its IPO towards sponsor commitments for existing and new funds, as well as for the repayment of a bridge loan amount. This funding will support existing funds like Fund IV and newly planned ventures.
Looking ahead, Gaja is establishing Fund V with a target size of Rs 2500 crore and a Secondaries Fund targeting Rs 1250 crore. Significant portions of the IPO proceeds will be allocated to sponsor commitments for these new funds, with an additional amount set aside for bridge loan repayment. The company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 81.96 crore and sales of Rs 135.53 crore for the twelve months ended March 31, 2026.
