GAIL Profits Skyrocket in Q1 FY27

GAIL's financial performance for the first quarter of FY27 demonstrated robust growth, with a net profit of Rs 4,671 crore. This represents a significant increase compared to Rs 2,382 crore in the same period last year, and a remarkable 215% jump from the Rs 1,481 crore reported in the preceding March quarter.
Revenue from operations for Q1 FY27 stood at Rs 41,483 crore, marking an over 16% year-on-year increase from Rs 35,573 crore in Q1 FY26. Sequentially, revenue saw a 13% rise. The company's consolidated gross margin, or EBITDA, was reported at Rs 7,573 crore.
The natural gas marketing segment was a key driver of this success, posting a 245% year-on-year profit surge to Rs 3,608 crore. Revenue in this segment climbed 25% year-on-year to Rs 43,559 crore.
Furthermore, GAIL's natural gas transmission services segment also reported healthy growth. Revenue increased by 8% year-on-year to Rs 3,042 crore, while profit in this segment rose 14% year-on-year to Rs 1,783 crore. In response to the strong results, GAIL's share price saw an intraday jump of over 4%.
