The Great Eastern Shipping Company has announced the sale of its 2011-built Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier, Jag Aarati. This transaction, involving a vessel of approximately 80,324 dwt, is set to be completed by December 18, 2025, with delivery to the new buyer scheduled for Q4 FY26. This move signifies an ongoing effort by the company to optimize its fleet.
Following the sale of Jag Aarati, G E Shipping's owned fleet will consist of 40 vessels. This diverse fleet includes 26 tankers, encompassing crude tankers, product tankers, and LPG carriers, alongside 14 dry bulk carriers, comprising Capesize, Kamsarmax, and Supramax types, with a total deadweight tonnage of 3.32 million.
Further strategic fleet changes are underway. The company has contracted to sell one Suezmax crude tanker, with this transaction expected to conclude in Q3 FY26. Additionally, G E Shipping is set to acquire one secondhand Ultramax dry bulk carrier, with this purchase scheduled for completion in Q4 FY26.
