Taiwan-based manufacturing powerhouse Hon Hai Precision Industry Co, globally recognized as Foxconn, has announced a remarkable 51.98% increase in consolidated sales compared to last year, reaching NT$921.77 billion in August. This substantial revenue, equivalent to $29.14 billion, positions the August performance as the second-highest sales month in the company's extensive history.
The surge is primarily attributed to escalating global demand for artificial intelligence (AI) applications. Foxconn's cloud and networking division demonstrated significant year-on-year revenue growth, mirroring the accelerated momentum in the AI sector.
Furthermore, the company's smart consumer electronics division also saw notable sales increases. This growth was bolstered by clients strategically rebuilding their inventories in anticipation of new product launches, coupled with higher shipment prices.
For the initial eight months of 2026, Foxconn's consolidated sales totaled NT$6.51 trillion ($205.32 billion), reflecting a 39.73% rise from the corresponding period in the previous year. The company anticipates its sales growth momentum will persist, particularly as the third quarter is traditionally a peak season for the information and communications technology industry.
