Showcase Cinemas in Foxborough concluded its operations yesterday, January 10, after years of service to the community. This marks a significant shift as Phoenix Theaters prepares to introduce a new vision for the beloved movie-going spot. The Michigan-based chain is set to invest substantial funds into revamping the existing 14-screen theater.
Residents can look forward to a completely reimagined cinematic experience. Planned upgrades include luxurious heated and reclining seats, cutting-edge 4K projectors for crystal-clear visuals, and a new immersive sound system. These enhancements aim to elevate comfort and engagement for all patrons visiting the venue next summer.
In the interim, patrons of Patriot Place and Starpass loyalty members are advised to visit alternative Showcase Cinemas branches in Dedham, Randolph, and North Attleboro. This temporary measure ensures continued access to movie entertainment while the Foxborough location undergoes its extensive transformation.
